This programme is aimed at raising awareness on the rights of the child and to build the capacity of families and communities to protect children from abuse and violence as enshrined in the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, the Children’s Act 560 (1998), the UN Convention on the Right of the Child and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child. The key highlight of this programme is to contribute to the elimination of children in the worst forms of child labour with particular focus on child marriage, commercial sexual exploitation of children, child trafficking and child abuse. Overall, we seek to safeguard the rights of every child and provide for the well-being of children in need, more particularly, children exposed to any form of abuse or deprived of education or suffering from ill-health, physical, physiological or mental problems.
